The Fin del Mundo waterfall is the icon of ecotourism in Mocoa. You reach it after an uphill trail of about an hour through the cloud forest of the Amazon foothills, with sections of roots, mud and viewpoints over the valley. At the top, the Dantayaco River forms natural pools, rock slides and the main falls, from which the water drops into the void with a view over the jungle.
It is a community nature reserve with regulated entry: we recommend going up with a local guide, both for safety and to support the families who care for the land. From Luna Eco Casa we help you arrange the guide, transport and timing according to the weather that day.
How to get there
A short ride on paved road toward the vereda, then an uphill hike. You can reach the trailhead on your own motorbike or bike; we can also arrange transport.
Recommendations
- Go with a local guide of the land (required on several sections)
- Closed shoes with grip, clothes that can get wet and a dry change
- Bring water, snacks and a bag to carry your waste back
- Reserve entry fee: ask on WhatsApp
